Step Up Sumatra
This is Callum riding a 6'3 USC construction surfboard High Performance style model .
Him , his father and brother have had few boards over the last decade . Always a pleasure working on boards with this family as they put a lot into there surfing and always keen to hunt down good waves !
This board was a Prototype model which is made for solid waves when there is a lot of water moving around and you really feel like you need some extra foam . Designed to paddle into waves easier with a little bit of extra width thru the nose as opposed to a super narrower step up .
Callum picked it up last minute and added it to the board bag .He is riding it here on a smaller day in Krui but still offers him lots of speed and down the line flow but its probably a little too much board for him .
Back to the shaping room to refine something for his next trip !
