Bright Pink Tint

This is an experimental Quad Fin which sits on the side of a performance board but is somewhat a hybrid

Still early days as this boards is one of my personal experimental designs .

Dimensions are 6’0 by 19 7/8 by 2 3/8 (30 litres) .

Anyway what do you think of the pink , grey and black resin tint colour combination ?

This board features a flatter deck line with softer rails up front that blend into a hard, boxy rail through the tail, finishing with a clean edge that starts just forward of the fins. That combination gives the board plenty of forgiveness where you need it, while still delivering the release and bite you want through turns.

Running a quad setup with a diamond tail, it's built to generate speed and carry plenty of drive. The bottom contours flow from a single concave into a double, finishing with a subtle V off the tail to keep it loose and responsive when you're rolling from rail to rail.

The rocker is a nice, balanced curve—slightly on the flatter side compared to a high-performance shortboard. It paddles easily, carries speed through flatter sections, and still has enough curve to fit comfortably into a good wave.

As I said, it's still early days, but I'm really impressed with the drive this board is generating. There have been no hang-ups at all making the switch from a twin to the quad. It turns really well, and even though the waves haven't been the best lately, I'm excited to get it into some clean, quality surf and give you all some proper feedback.

With this design, I've tried to combine the best elements from the thousands of AKU files I've built over the years, along with the knowledge that's come from shaping and, just as importantly, the intuition you only develop after a lifetime of surfing.

Overall, I'm stoked with how this prototype has turned out. There's still more testing to do, but it's looking really promising, plenty more good things to come.
