Ocean Splash MinI Mal

We upped the ante on this Mini Mal design . Its made for particular type of surf , (knee to chest high soft peaks !).  Weaker style of waves , when you need a lot foam to get going because the waves are not offering much quality but you still want to have fun and surf free and easy .

Custom 7'2 Mini Mal with some big performance requirements . But first the artwork is "Ocean Splash" or a version of , all custom hand done. Its a resin tint design with clear deck and blue cut lap on the rails . 

Simple Brief :

"I want to nose ride , walk up and down the board , surf it in marginal waves and be able to turn it in the pocket maybe bang the lip as well".

 The outline is your classic mini mal with bit more width up front and slightly pulled in tail area  . "User Friendly". 

Instant speed comes to mind but you don't want it to track too much and make it hard to turn , therefore deep single concave up front with double under the front then lot V off the tail . Set up as twin fin swallow tail .

Also having the single concave up with the wider nose outline up front allows the surfer to drop Five over the nose !

The rails are really different , not a kooky hard edge up front but a pulled down soft 50/50 rail  which blends nicely into the middle of the board .This will allow you too surf it in those soft pockets and hold its speed out of turns .

Down towards the tail the rails get boxy and square edge near the fins ! Set up as twin fin , ride with your favourite set of uprights . Its a super fun versatile style of Mini Longboard !
