Love the way these resin tints evolve . This one is the Green Flicker design .
We do our best to replicate the online image on the website . It's kind of impossible to copy it exactly, but our team of artists and laminators, get it very close to the image you see on your screen .
The process is amazingly complex . Trial and error don't cut it in the production of surfboards, you have to nail every stage with "perfection" . Especially when adding tints and pigments to fast curing resin !
It's definitely worth adding colour to your surfboard !

Black surfboards do look super cool .
Making them is a little more time consuming but the wait is worth it.
We prefer to instead of just doing a black paint foam spray , add the pigment or tint to the resin and have the colour in the resin . That way you almost get a three dimensional (3D) depth in the colour , to give you the blackest of black .
And of course with a black surfboard you got to go the white Formula Energy decals !

Black surfboards look really cool . With black artwork we have a couple of different options with the application , most popular is the traditional "foam spray" where the foam blank is painted or sprayed with paint .
Or a "resin tint" . Whereby in the glassing or laminating process pigment or tint is added to the resin, then the board is "glassed" as normal with the coloured resin .
A few changes in the process must be made , it just depends on what design and what parts of the board you want the coloured resin. It is a little bit more involving and requires a skilled experienced hand !
Although the process takes longer , its worth the wait !
