This is a USC Mutant with a smoking hot jet black bottom resin tint .
Black surfboards look really cool . With black artwork we have a couple of different options with the application , most popular is the traditional "foam spray" where the foam blank is painted or sprayed with paint .
Or a "resin tint" . Whereby in the glassing or laminating process pigment or tint is added to the resin, then the board is "glassed" as normal with the coloured resin .
A few changes in the process must be made , it just depends on what design and what parts of the board you want the coloured resin. It is a little bit more involving and requires a skilled experienced hand !
Although the process takes longer , its worth the wait !

Even seen those little pilot fish that swim next to the heads of big shark species like Great Whites , Tigers etc .
Have you ever wondered why the shark just doesn't turn round and chomp on that little morsel ?
The colouring of the fish acts like camouflage , preventing the shark from identifying the fish as prey . Sharks see in black and white according to recent research by Professor Shaun Collin and Dr Nathan Hart at the University of Western Australia's Oceans Institute. Hamish Jolly has been doing some solid research on shark's vision and the way there identify food . Click here to learn more

USC Construction
USC Construction, or “Ultra Stringerless Carbon” construction with parabolic carbon rails, Really sets itself apart with the unique blend of materials and placement of the carbon.
With USC, you are using a stringerless blank, but a PU blank instead of EPS. The carbon is also laid around the perimeter, but more on the deck instead of wrapping under the rails.
The PU blank gives you that familiar feel we all know and love, while the parabolic carbon layout adds more speed, drive and flex. Combined with a unique bio- polyester resin, these boards lower their carbon footprint and are built to last, while giving you a board you can feel comfortable on as soon as you jump in it.

In fact this surfboard is headed on a long journey to one of the hardest surf spots on earth to get to. It takes multiple plane rides sometimes back tracking ,a fist full of dollars , and of course favourable swell charts to get it on .
Its true paradise once you arrive with crystal clear water, ruler edge perfect freight training barrelling righthander , and if you get it pumping , its one of the best waves in the surfing world an by the way it is no where near the Mentawais ....
These are the moments you need good equipment built to last and perform !
