Working Hard

Brent Savage has been working hard with us on refining and developing his signature model, the Savage and the results has been paying off ! Ultimately trying to develop a true all round short board .

Brent surfed in the Kirra Teams Challenge over the weekend for his local board riders club Cabarita .

The Kirra Teams Challenge is one of the premium Team events on the Australian Surf contest calendar . With Clubs from all over Australia , attending with A grade competitive surfers . 

Riding his signature model the Savage , which is designed as an all rounder short board ,he blasted through his heat to combo the opposition and win the heat easily . The Cabarita boys were stoked with Brent's performance in the punchy beach break conditions at Duranbah on the Gold Coast .

Matt's around 90 kg , litres we added around 35 1/2 .

THE FUTURE

2015 is well underway and we are currently talking with some new talent to add to the Formula Energy team  .

 At the moment we are developing some new models that need testing and re-mastering some old favorites to see the feedback . We are always looking to improve on the current range of boards and add new models each with its own unique characteristics and performance values . 

The exciting thing about surfboards is that technology and materials  are moving so fast  but its important to test product to make sure it really works and it not just another 'fad' .

Still Pumping

South East Queensland and its surrounds has been pumping , its hasn't really dropped under 3ft in a month . And with Ex-cyclone Marcia now a deepening low pressure trough set to head back over the ocean through the week , that means plenty of more surf to come !

If you standard shortboard just aint cutting in these type of waves , perhaps you need a little more volume and rail line in the water ?

Another custom creation from the imagination then to the foam . 

This USC Alien is 5'10 by 19 3/4 by 2 5/16th made for Dai .

Its 27 1/2 litres . 

Dai wanted a solid yellow foam spray with black drips running from the tail to the nose ....

We call this artwork Yellow Fever With Black Attack !

We are stoked with the end look and more importantly Dai is wrapped with his new shooter ! Looks great and under the arm its feels even better !
