He is off chasing some off season Indonesian goodness . The factory of course is open and the team are working hard producing those Christmas presents !

Full Customised Creation

At Formula Energy we have the luxury of having everything ''in-house" . Which enables us to create full custom designs and liaising with the surfer throughout the whole process .

From the initial 3 d cad design of the pre-shape we can customize existing plan-shapes and tweak them to suit , then hand shape to make a board that is technically  accurate but with the ultimate goal of a surfboard that performs above and beyond your expectations. 

And then to the final art work ,whether it is a foam spray , resin tint, or full deck print . Artwork is a major part of your surfboard and nothing is off limits, the only thing holding you back is your imagination. 

This particular surfboard was from the imagination of Michael who surfs mainly in marginal conditions. He wanted the ultimate grovel board but was very specific about bottom curves and outlines to make it work in his part of the world .

Essentially its based of a Nemo outline with a single flyer round tail . With single into double concaves with V off the tail . 

Michael never visited the factory and all correspondence were done by email ! 

The Board is all black with Carbon / Kevlar parabolic rails (USC).

 Essentially the ULTIMATE CUSTOM !

This one headed over to Indoneisa and scored epic late season conditions !

Savage Impression

Premium Savage model bound for the Northern Sumatra , Indonesia . 

5'10 by 18 3/4 by 2 1/4, (24.50 litres) .Built for surfer around 65 to 70kg, Performance all rounder for the trip of a lifetime 

Fin set up is Futures Five fin for versatility , bottom contours are single into double and the rails are mid to low for good waves . 

A little fin advice can go along way,we recommend experimenting with all types of sizes and templates.  Some good Fins for this model for the lightweight are

 the Scarfinini FX1 in quads or thruster with plenty of hold and drive .

Need some help with your fins, well contact us for some solid advice.

Custom Premium Performance V Model for Graham. 

Its 6'0 by 19 1/4 by 2 7/16th . 29 Litres

Graham's request was if we could slightly widen the tail pod for him . Adding more area in the tail pod which creates more width through the tail outline.

Hi Performance Custom

Custom USC Hi Performance , customized with a Squash Tail which still allows the high performance aspects of the this plan-shape to work but adds the benefits of quick release and width for flotation. Well suited to a wide range of conditions and fin set ups. 

Or order in a swallow tail which blends a square tail  with some of the pin tails tube-fitting and turning subtlety, and release which compliments the modern concave bottoms.

This board is : 6'1 by 18 3/4 by 2 3/8 (27.09 litres).
